One of the first side hustles I ever picked up was dog sitting via Rover. I created my Rover pet sitting profile back in 2015 and have watched dozens of dogs over the years. It’s worked out well for me. I first signed up for Grubhub about three years ago when I discovered that Grubhub was operating in my city. Like all the food delivery apps, what made Grubhub appealing to me was its flexibility. I could work whenever I want and earn extra income while also working a full-time regular job.

I’ve now been an Uber Eats driver (or Uber Eats courier) since 2016. It’s one of my favorite side hustles and a side hustle that I think many people could incorporate into their own lives, whether they’re looking to make extra money or simply looking for a potentially fun activity to try out.

I’ve been a DoorDash Dasher since 2016, which makes me a grizzled veteran in the gig economy/food delivery world (the term Dasher is what DoorDash calls its delivery people). Before I started with DoorDash, I delivered with apps like Postmates and Caviar, both of which launched in my city about a year before DoorDash.
