If you’re looking for the best coworking spaces in Minneapolis, this is the post for you. I’ve researched all of the coworking spaces in Minneapolis, looking for some of the most unique, interesting, and convenient places that offer coworking.

Minneapolis is an excellent city for coworking, offering a plethora of coworking options throughout the city. Most of the best coworking spaces are located in downtown Minneapolis, Uptown, and Northeast, meaning wherever you live, you can probably find a great coworking space for you.

Here’s a look at the 13 best coworking spaces in Minneapolis.

1. WeWork

WeWork is one of the largest operators in the coworking space, so it’s no surprise they have a large presence in Minneapolis. They currently have two locations in Minneapolis – Downtown and North Loop (the Uptown location recently closed). I had a WeWork membership for several years when I first went full-time on this blog and I loved it. My membership gave me access to every WeWork location in Minneapolis, so I could go to different locations as I felt like it.

Every location has free coffee and tea, along with their trademark fruit water (water infused with various fruits). The staff is always very helpful and you can always find a spot to sit and get work done.

WeWork offers both private office memberships and hot desk memberships, where you grab any empty seat you find. They also offer daily passes, so if you need a space for a day, you can work from WeWork. The all-access pass is my favorite because it gives you access to every WeWork location throughout the country.

WeWork Locations in Minneapolis:

  • Downtown – 225 South 6th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55402
  • North Loop – 729 North Washington Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55401

2. Industrious

Industrious is another large player in the coworking world, with locations throughout the United States. In Minneapolis, Industrious operates two locations, one in North Loop and one Downtown. I’ve used the Downtown location before and thought it was a great space to work.

What I like about Industrious is that in addition to coffee and tea, they also always seem to have a good supply of free snacks and have free breakfast in the morning.

You can choose between private offices or general monthly memberships that give you access to the workspace. With two locations in Minneapolis, you’ll be sure to find a good option for you.

Industrious Locations in Minneapolis:

  • Downtown – 60 South Sixth Street, Minneapolis, MN 55402
  • North Loop -323 Washington Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55401

3. Spaces

Spaces operates over 400 coworking locations throughout the world, with over 100 of them in the United States. In Minneapolis, Spaces operates one coworking location in North Loop. This is a cool-looking location. I pass by it pretty regularly and am always attracted to the office because of the nice signage they have outside. It’s also conveniently located in the heart of the North Loop neighborhood.

4. Work at Coco

Work at Coco is a local coworking operator that’s been in Minneapolis for a while – indeed, they’re the first coworking space that opened in the Twin Cities. The coworking company started out as CoCo back in 2009, when coworking was barely even a thing yet. They rebranded as Fueled Collective in 2018. They have now rebranded again to Work at Coco in 2023.

They operate two locations in Minneapolis – one in Downtown Minneapolis and another in Northeast Minneapolis. It also used to operate a third location in Uptown, but that location was damaged during rioting in 2020 and the company decided not to reopen the location.

The Downtown Minneapolis location, in particular, is gorgeous, located in the old Minneapolis Grain Exchange Building. The main working area is located on what was once the Grain Exchange trading floor, which gives it high ceilings and a ton of space. It’s a unique space that you won’t see in many coworking spaces.

  • Northeast – 1400 Van Buren Street, Suite #200, Minneapolis, MN 55413

5. Flock

Flock is a local boutique coworking space located in the Whittier neighborhood of Minneapolis. It’s located just one block from Eat Street, which means you have plenty of food and drink options if you’re working here.

Flock bills itself as a space for community-driven entrepreneurs and creatives. Since it’s a local coworking company, you get a more community feel compared to larger coworking companies with multiple locations.

6. Expansive

Expansive is a coworking company with coworking offices throughout the United States. It was previously called Novel Coworking but rebranded to Expansive a few years ago.

I had a membership with Expansive back when it was called Novel. What made it attractive to me was its affordable price point – it was far cheaper than other coworking locations in Minneapolis.

Novel has one location in Downtown Minneapolis. It’s not in the fanciest building, but it’ll get the job done at a good price.

7. Impact Hub

Impact Hub is a coworking space located near the University of Minnesota. What makes Impact Hub different is that it’s a non-profit organization, with most members doing work to solve social problems in the city.

One interesting thing about Impact Hub is that they have a work-trade program, where you can get a free membership in exchange for working a few hours for the coworking space. You have to apply for this program, but it could be an option if you need a coworking space and are willing to trade a few hours per week for it.

8. CommonGrounds

CommonGrounds is a coworking company with multiple locations in the United States. They opened a coworking space in downtown Minneapolis a few years ago and I’ve always thought it looked like a great space. It’s very modern and conveniently located too.

Like other coworking memberships, they offer a general membership where you can have access to common areas, as well as private offices. They’re definitely worth checking out.

9. The Coven

The Coven is a female-only coworking community founded to provide an inclusive working environment for women, non-binary, and transgender people. They have two locations – one in St. Paul and one in Minneapolis. It used to be in North Loop but recently moved to a new location in the Eat Street area.

It’s a coworking community geared toward a specific demographic, so if you’re looking for a space like this to work in, it’s worth checking them out.

Location:

  • Eat Street -2429 Nicollet Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55404

10. Scout Workshop

Scout Workshop is a local Minnesota coworking community located in the Lyn-Lake neighborhood of Minneapolis (not far from Uptown). The coworking space is located in an old stained glass factory building, which gives the building a unique look specific to the building. The space was created by two designers that cofounded the coworking community, so you know it looks good.

11. Lifetime Work

Lifetime Work is a coworking concept created by Lifetime Fitness. It’s an interesting concept, combining coworking with a health club membership. They have a couple of Lifetime Work locations in Minnesota (St Louis Park and Edina) and one located in Downtown Minneapolis.

Every coworking membership also comes with access to all Lifetime Fitness health clubs in the United States, which makes Lifetime Work a good value for someone looking for both coworking and a gym membership. The offices are gorgeous too.

Location:

  • Downtown – 30 South 9th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55402

12. ModernWell

ModernWell is a female-centric coworking space focusing on work and well-being. While they do bill themselves as a women-centered space, men are also welcome to join the ModernWell community too.

The ModernWell coworking space is located a bit farther out of the city compared to the other coworking spaces on this list. If you’re someone that prefers to drive, ModernWell is a good option because it’s located right off of I-394.

13. The Wilderness Fitness and Coworking

The Wilderness is another coworking space that combines a coworking membership and a gym membership. Depending on what you are looking for, you can opt for only a gym membership, or you can get an open desk, private desk, or private office, with a gym membership included in all coworking plans. In addition to a gym membership, all Wilderness members have access to conference rooms and private phone booths, as well as a bar, game room, theater, and coffee, tea, and snacks.

The Wilderness is located in the heart of Uptown, just a few blocks from the Greenway. It’s definitely a great deal given that you get a gym membership with it, so if you’re looking for a good coworking spot in Uptown, I’d definitely consider checking out the Wilderness.

More Recommended Ebike/Scooters

Check out these other ebikes and scooters I've reviewed:

  • Urban Arrow Ebike – Last year, I made one of the largest purchases I’ve ever made – I bought a $9,000 electric cargo bike from Urban Arrow. In my Urban Arrow review, I will discuss what it is and why I decided to buy this bike, as well as discuss how impactful a bike like this can be on your journey to financial independence.
  • Troxus Explorer Step-Thru Ebike – The Troxus Explorer Step-Thru is a fat-tire ebike that I’ve had the pleasure of riding for a while now. It has amazing power, great looks, and awesome range. If you’re looking for a great fat-tire ebike that offers a lot for the price, the Troxus Explorer Step-Thru is definitely one for you to consider. Check out my Troxus Explorer Step-Thru Review.
  • Hovsco HovBeta Ebike – The HovBeta is a folding ebike with great specs and a lot of interesting features, and importantly, it’s sold at a good price point. I’ve had a blast commuting with it and using it to do deliveries with DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub. Check out my Hovsco HovBeta Ebike Review.
  • Vanpowers Manidae Ebike – The Vanpowers Manidae is a fat tire ebike that I’ve been riding as my primary winter commuting bike and have also been using it to do food delivery with apps like DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub. After clocking in a decent number of miles with this ebike, I wanted to write a post sharing what my experience with the Vanpowers Manidae ebike has been like. Check out my Vanpowers Manidae Review.
  • Sohamo S3 Step-Thru Folding EBike Review – A Great Value Folding Ebike – The Sohamo S3 Step-Thru Folding Ebike is an entry-level folding ebike that offers a lot of value for the price point. I’ve been riding the Sohamo S3 for a while now, putting the bike through its paces, and I have to say, this bike has exceeded all of my expectations. Check out my Sohamo Review.
  • KBO Flip Ebike – The KBO Flip is an excellent bike. I’ve had a great time riding it and think it’s a versatile bike that can be used for a lot of purposes and can fit a variety of lifestyles. It’s worked out great for me as a general commuter bike and as a food delivery bike. Check out my KBO Flip Review.
  • Hiboy P7 Commuter Ebike – The Hiboy P7 is an excellent electric commuter bike that’s offered at an affordable price point. The range and speed of this bike are both very good, so you won’t have any trouble getting anywhere you need to go with it. As a food delivery vehicle, this is also good – with how much range it offers, you’ll be able to work all day on a single charge. Check out my Hiboy P7 Commuter Electric Bike Review.
  • Himiway Escape Ebike – The Himiway Escape is an interesting bike for anyone looking for a moped-style ebike. If you’re a gig economy worker, the Himiway Escape is particularly interesting and it’s possible to think of it as an investment, especially if you can opt to do deliveries with the Himiway versus using a car. It’s not cheap, but you can definitely make your money back when you compare the mileage you’ll put on your car versus using an ebike. Check out my Himiway Escape Bike Review.
  • Espin Sport Ebike – The Espin Sport is a good ebike for someone who is looking for an ebike that feels and rides more like a regular bike. There are many ebikes that are really only bikes in name. In reality, they’re basically electric mopeds. The Espin Sport, by contrast, is a bike you could probably ride without the battery and you’d feel like you’re just riding a regular bike. Check out my Espin Sport Review.
  • Varla Eagle One Scooter – The Varla Eagle One is an excellent scooter that can make sense for a lot of people. It can work as a primary mode of transportation. You can use it to work on gig economy apps like DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub. And it can also be a recreational vehicle if you’d prefer to use it for that. Check out my Varla Eagle One Review.
  • Varla Falcon Scooter – The Varla Falcon is an excellent scooter that offers a good amount of power at a lower price point compared to more powerful scooters. It’s not exactly an entry-level scooter, nor is it a high-powered scooter. I think it fits somewhere in-between those two categories – an intermediate scooter if I had to give it a category. Check out my Varla Falcon Review.
  • Hiboy S2 Scooter – The Hiboy S2 is an excellent entry-level commuter scooter that's perfect for someone looking to save some money in transportation costs and improve their commute. Check out my Hiboy S2 Review.
  • Hiboy S2R Scooter – The Hiboy S2R is one of the more interesting electric scooters I’ve been able to test out. It’s not a high-powered scooter, but for an everyday transport option, it’s very useful, especially given some of the unique features that it has. Indeed, for the price, the Hiboy S2R might be the best value scooter I’ve used. Check out my Hiboy S2R Review.
  • Fucare H3 Scooter – The Fucare H3 is a fun scooter and I’ve enjoyed testing it out. For a daily commuter or quick trips or errands, the Fucare H3 is probably the scooter I’ll use. It’s portable and easy to maneuver, so it’s just easier to take on the road when I need it. Check out my Fucare H3 Scooter Review.

If you’re looking for more easy bank bonuses, check out the below options. These bonuses are all easy to earn and have no fees or minimum balance requirements to worry about.

  • Upgrade ($200) – Upgrade is a free checking account that’s currently offering a $200 referral bonus if you open an account and complete a direct deposit. • Fairwinds Credit Union ($175) – Fairwinds Credit Union is offering a referral bonus for users that sign up using a referral link. Fairwinds has no fees or minimum balance, so this is a particularly easy bonus to earn. Since this is a smaller credit union, my gut instinct tells me this offer won’t be around long, so if you’re in a position to meet the bonus requirements, grab this bonus before it’s gone. Here is my step-by-step guide on how to earn your Fairwinds Credit Union bonus.
  • Chime ($100) - Chime is a free bank account that offers a referral bonus if you use a referral link and complete a direct deposit of $200 or more. In practice, any ACH transfer into this account triggers the bonus. This bonus is easy to earn and posts instantly, so you’ll know if you met the requirements as soon as you move money into the account. I wrote a step-by-step guide on how to earn your Chime referral bonus that I recommend you check out.
  • US Bank Business ($900) – This is a fairly easy bank bonus to earn, since there are no direct deposit requirements. In addition, you can open the Silver Business Checking account, which comes with no monthly fees. Check out how to earn this big bonus here.
  • GO2Bank ($50) - GO2Bank is an easy bank bonus that I recommend people take advantage of if they have an easy way of meeting the direct deposit requirement. I like that it’s easy to open the account and that the bonus pays out quickly. Check out my step-by-step guide on how to earn your GO2Bank $50 referral bonus.
  • Current ($50) – Current is a free fintech bank that’s offering new users a $50 referral bonus after signing up for an account using a referral link. Current is an easy bonus to earn and also gives you access to three savings accounts that pay you 4% interest on up to $2,000. That means you can put away up to $6,000 earning 4% interest. That’s very good and makes Current an account I recommend to everyone. Check out my step-by-step guide on how to earn your Current Bank bonus.
  • Novo Bank ($40) - Novo bank is a free business checking account that’s currently offering a $40 bonus if you open a Novo business checking account using a referral link. In addition to being a good bank bonus, Novo is also a good business checking account. It has no monthly fees or minimum balance requirements and operates a good app and website. Indeed, it’s the business checking account I currently use for this blog. Check out my post on how to easily open a Novo account.
  • Varo ($25) – Varo is a free fintech banking app similar to Chime or Current. It’s currently offering a $25 bonus to new users that open a new Varo account with a referral link.
