Is DoorDash busy on Father’s Day? It’s a question you might be asking yourself if you’re looking to earn some money with DoorDash on Father’s Day. In general, Father’s Day does have the potential to be a busy day, although there’s no guarantee it’ll be busy. My experience is to go into it without any high expectations. Treat it as any other Sunday.

Is DoorDash Busy On Father’s Day?

In short, DoorDash can be busy on Father’s Day, but you shouldn’t expect that it will be much busier than any other Sunday. That’s because Father’s Day isn’t really a food-based holiday, so there’s not a lot of reason for DoorDash to be any busier or slower than a normal Sunday.

One interesting thing to note is that DoorDash does have statistics showing that Mother’s Day is one of their busiest holidays. However, Father’s Day doesn’t make the list of busiest holidays. In my experience, Mother’s Day has never seemed any busier to me than a normal Sunday, so it’s worth considering that information when deciding whether it’s worth working on Father’s Day.

Best Times To DoorDash On Father’s Day

As always, when delivering for DoorDash, you want to do it during the prime delivery hours – specifically lunch and dinner. That means the best times to DoorDash on Father’s Day will be during lunch (between 11 am and 1 pm) and during dinner (typically between 5 pm and 8 pm).

However, since Father’s Day is on a Sunday, you can usually expect orders to stay fairly consistent throughout the day. That’s because, on weekends, people tend to order more food outside of the normal lunch and dinner hours. You’ll still get more business if you focus on the lunch and dinner rush, but it’s okay if you need to work outside of those hours too.

Final Thoughts

Father’s Day is a family holiday, so food delivery isn’t necessarily going to be the focus for most families. That doesn’t mean people won’t be ordering DoorDash on Father’s Day, but it’s something to think about as you approach working on Father’s Day.

My best advice is to go into Father’s Day expecting it to be a normal Sunday. If things are busier than expected, then that’s a nice bonus. And if things are the same as usual or slower than expected, you won’t be disappointed. Focus on the most important things about food delivery – be strategic with the orders you accept, multi-app if you can, and work during the prime delivery hours.
