Is Uber Eats Busy On St. Patrick’s Day? In general, you can expect St. Patrick’s Day to be generally busy, but it’ll likely be hit or miss whether it’s busier than a normal day. That’s because St. Patrick’s Day isn’t an official holiday and is not a holiday that’s based around food – it’s mainly based on going out to bars and drinking. As a result, while people may be ordering food on Uber Eats, it likely won’t be specifically because it’s St. Patrick’s Day.

In this post, we’ll take a closer look at the question of – is Uber Eats busy on St. Patrick’s Day. We’ll also look at some of the strategies you can use to maximize your earnings if you’re going to work on Uber Eats on St. Patrick’s Day.

Is Uber Eats Busy On St. Patrick’s Day?

You can generally expect Uber Eats to be fairly busy on St. Patrick’s Day, but I wouldn’t go into it thinking that it’ll be an extremely busy day. That’s because while some people may order Uber Eats on St. Patrick’s Day, for the most part, St. Patrick’s Day is not a food-based holiday.

If people are ordering food, it’ll usually be for the same reasons people order food on any other day – they’re hungry, and ordering delivery is more convenient and easier than preparing food or picking it up themselves.

It does seem that Irish-themed restaurants may be busier on St. Patricks Day compared to other restaurants. The downside is that these restaurants may also be so busy that they’ll fall behind on orders. You’ll have to weigh the pros and cons of whether it’s worth targeting those types of orders.

Another thing to consider is that people may be ordering alcohol deliveries on St. Patrick’s Day. That means orders from liquor stores could be more prevalent. These orders can often pay well and I think are worth doing.

The Best Times To Dash On St. Patrick’s Day

If you want to work on St. Patrick’s Day, the best times to work will still be during the lunch and dinner hours. If St. Patrick’s Day is on a weekday, then stick near busy downtown areas where office workers may be ordering lunch. During the evening hours, the dinner rush should be as busy as any other day – and will likely be busier if St. Patrick’s Day falls on a weekend evening.

There’s also a possibility that Uber Eats will be busy in the late evening as people return home from a night out. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend working in the late evening because the types of restaurants that are open late at night usually don’t pay well and will often require you to wait in long lines (for example, fast food restaurants are usually the only places open at night and have long lines after people leave bars and clubs).

In addition, delivering late at night to people who have been out partying can be problematic because people don’t answer their phones or give bad directions. In my experience, late-night deliveries are often more of a hassle than they are worth, so I tend to avoid them.

My advice is to stick to working during the lunch and dinner shifts and you should be able to maximize your Uber Eats earnings on St. Patrick’s Day.

Final Thoughts

St. Patrick’s Day isn’t an official holiday, so while it can be busy, it generally should be about as busy as any other day. It also isn’t a food-based holiday, so ordering food isn’t something that people associate with St. Patrick’s Day.

If you want to maximize your earnings, try to work during the busiest hours, specifically during lunch and dinner. In addition, you may be able to maximize your earnings if you stick near liquor stores and accept alcohol deliveries. Those orders are often high-paying and worth doing.

Irish restaurants may also be busier than usual, but they come with the risk that the restaurant may fall behind due to the increased demand.
