Is Uber Eats busy on Valentine’s Day? The short answer is, yes, Uber Eats should be busy on Valentine’s Day. While some couples celebrating Valentine’s Day may go out to eat, a large number of couples will opt to stay at home and order delivery.
Of course, simply being busy isn’t the only factor to consider when deciding whether to deliver for Uber Eats on Valentine’s Day. You need to ask yourself some other important questions. Will other drivers be working? Are restaurants going to be on their game or will they be slow or fall behind? Will you make the most money working on Valentine’s Day compared to working on other days?

Is Uber Eats Busy On Valentine’s Day?
As previously noted, you can expect Uber Eats to be busy on Valentine’s Day. Uber Eats doesn’t publish official stats on how busy it is, but apps like DoorDash have released data showing that Valentine’s Day is one of its busiest holidays of the year. There’s no reason to think Uber Eats isn’t similarly busy.
The fact that Uber Eats is busy on Valentine’s Day makes sense when you think about it as well. While many couples will go out to eat for Valentine’s Day, many others will likely stay home and either cook at home or order a nice meal using an app like Uber Eats.
All that being said, while Uber Eats is typically busy on Valentine’s Day, it can also paradoxically be so busy that it ends up being slower for individual drivers. That’s because when other drivers anticipate it being busy, they may log into their Uber Eats app, increasing the number of drivers working. While delivery demand could be high, the number of delivery requests you receive could end up being fewer than usual since so many drivers are logged into the app. This can be especially true if Uber Eats is offering a bonus to drivers.
If you want to maximize your earnings on Valentine’s Day, my best recommendation is to work in areas with restaurants that serve Valentine’s Day meals. These are likely to be higher-end restaurants. The nice thing about higher-end restaurants is that the orders should be higher-value, which means you should be able to get larger tips.
The Best Times To Deliver For Uber Eats On Valentine’s Day
As you might have guessed, the best time to deliver Uber Eats on Valentine’s Day is during the evening dinner rush when the vast majority of people will be placing Valentine’s Day orders. I recommend starting around 5 or 6 pm. You can hopefully expect it to stay relatively busy throughout the evening. During the rest of the day, you can probably expect delivery demand to be normal.
One thing to note is that Uber Eats also offers flower delivery in some markets. These types of deliveries will happen in the morning and throughout the day, so if you’re working during the day in a market that offers flower delivery, you may see these orders pop up. I’ve never done a flower delivery, so I can’t say how they work, but they could be worth doing if the pay is right.
Final Thoughts
In conclusion, you can expect Uber Eats to be busy on Valentine’s Day. If you want to maximize your Uber Eats earnings, I recommend working during the evening dinner hours, when more people will be placing orders. Upscale restaurants are more likely to see higher delivery demand, so stick around those restaurants. As a bonus, more upscale restaurants also mean higher-priced orders, which should equal larger tips.
Be aware that because other drivers may expect Uber Eats to be busy, there could be a surge of drivers logging into the Uber Eats driver app. That can lead to fewer delivery requests for each driver, so be aware that while demand could be high, it could actually end up slower for you since so many drivers will log into the app.
