Are you wondering if there is a DoorDash 1,000 deliveries bonus? In other words, does DoorDash give Dashers a bonus after they complete 1,000 lifetime deliveries?
Unfortunately, the short answer is no, DoorDash does not provide a bonus to Dashers for completing 1,000 deliveries. I’ve completed well over 1,000 deliveries in all the years I’ve been delivering for DoorDash and have never received anything. At best, I may have received an email congratulating me for completing 1,000 deliveries.
In this post, we’ll go into more detail about the DoorDash 1,000 deliveries bonus (or, to be clear, the lack of a bonus). We’ll also discuss other bonuses that DoorDash sometimes offers to Dashers.
Is There A DoorDash 1,000 Deliveries Bonus?
As previously stated, DoorDash does not provide a bonus for completing 1,000 deliveries. At best, you’ll get an email congratulating you for completing all of those deliveries.
Of course, it’d be nice if they did give a bonus. However, I can’t think of any gig economy apps that give a bonus for completing a certain number of lifetime deliveries (I think Shipt was the only one that I can recall that gave me a small bonus after I completed 50 deliveries).
Since there’s no bonus for completing 1,000 deliveries, you don’t have to prioritize DoorDash over other delivery apps. My advice is to use all of the delivery apps available to you and accept the best orders for your situation. If you can, you should be multi-apping (i.e. running DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub at the same time), which is the best way to maximize your earnings.
Other DoorDash Delivery Bonuses
While DoorDash does not offer a bonus for completing 1,000 lifetime deliveries, they do sometimes have other bonuses that can help you earn extra money. Here are the main DoorDash bonuses you may encounter.
1. DoorDash Referral Bonus
The most obvious bonus you can get from DoorDash is a referral bonus. In some markets, DoorDash will give new Dashers who sign up using a referral link a signup bonus after completing a certain number of deliveries. In most cases, you’ll have 30 or 60 days to complete the required number of deliveries.
The amount you can earn from a referral bonus will vary depending on which city you are signing up in, so you’ll need to see what is being offered in your city when you use a referral link (here’s my DoorDash referral link if you are looking for one).
Taking advantage of these referral offers is a good idea, but they are often difficult to do if you’re only doing DoorDash part-time or as a side hustle.
2. DoorDash Monthly Promotional Bonus
Every once in a while, DoorDash gives Dashers a bonus for completing a certain number of deliveries in a month. You don’t have to opt into these offers, so if you can meet the requirements, they can be useful.
My main issue with these monthly challenges is that they aren’t offered that often and when they are offered, they usually require completing a large number of deliveries. If you’re doing DoorDash full-time, you might be able to hit these requirements, but most people doing DoorDash as a side hustle won’t be able to earn these bonuses.
3. DoorDash Challenges
The final bonuses you can earn from DoorDash are via DoorDash challenges. These are typically shorter challenges that require you to complete a certain number of deliveries in a relatively short amount of time, usually over a few days or a week. Some challenges will be even shorter, requiring a certain number of deliveries over a few hours.
Below is an example of a typical DoorDash challenge. This one required me to complete 10 deliveries over 4 hours. If you do the math, meeting this challenge would have given me an extra $4 per delivery.
DoorDash challenges don’t require you to opt-in, so if they are offered, you’ll see them in your Dasher app and will automatically earn the bonus if you can meet the requirements.
Final Thoughts
DoorDash doesn’t provide a bonus for completing 1,000 lifetime deliveries. I know because I’ve completed thousands of DoorDash deliveries and have never received a bonus.
That being said, there are opportunities for other DoorDash bonuses. If you’re a new Dasher, you can sign up using a referral link and potentially get a bonus depending on your market. And if you’re a current Dasher, you may be able to earn a bonus from challenges that DoorDash offers or from other promotional bonuses they’re offering.
I’ve completed 10,230 deliveries and never even an email
Not even an anniversary email reminding you to schedule your next dash? LOL That’s what I got after my one year anniversary.
