DoorDash Burst Limit Exceeded - What It Means

Are you trying to log into the DoorDash Dasher app but are getting the error message, “Burst Limit Exceeded?” If so, it means that the DoorDash app is likely down. It has nothing to do with your Dasher account, but rather, is an error on DoorDash’s side.

In this post, we’ll take a closer look at what “Burst Limit Exceeded” means in DoorDash and what you can do about it.

DoorDash Burst Limit Exceeded – What It Means

When any app has an issue connecting to the server, it’ll sometimes show this Burst Limit Exceeded message. This is no different for the Dasher app. If there’s an issue connecting to DoorDash’s servers and you get this message, it means the app is down.

If you’re a Dasher or a regular customer of DoorDash, this probably doesn’t surprise you. Among the major food delivery apps, DoorDash is notorious for crashing fairly regularly. It’s even commonly called “DoorCrash” in reference to how often the app crashes.

If the DoorDash app has crashed, you may see this Burst Limit Exceeded when you try to log into the app. So what can you do about it?

What Can You Do If You Get The DoorDash Burst Limit Exceeded Message?

Unfortunately, there’s not much you can do on your end if you get this message and you’ll most likely have to wait for DoorDash’s servers to come back on. Briefly, here are some of your best options if you get the DoorDash Burst Limit Exceeded Message.

First, you’ll want to see if others are having the same issue. To do that, check the DoorDash Twitter account or the DoorDash subreddit. If there is an issue with the DoorDash app, you’ll see that information here, either directly from DoorDash or because people are complaining about DoorDash being down.

If it’s unclear if the DoorDash app is down, you may also want to try force quitting the app and restarting it. If that doesn’t work, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Finally, try restarting your phone to see if that fixes anything. Most likely, that won’t solve the issue, but it’s worth trying.

Your best bet will be to wait until DoorDash fixes the issue on their end. There’s likely nothing you can do, especially if the DoorDash app is down.

In the meantime, if you’re doing deliveries for DoorDash, I’d recommend multi-apping and doing deliveries for other apps like Uber Eats and Grubhub. That way, if DoorDash goes down, you’ll still be able to get orders from Uber Eats and Grubhub.

It can be frustrating when the DoorDash app is down and you receive this message. Your bet will be to wait until the app gets back up and running. If you’re delivering for DoorDash, you should use other delivery apps so you can stay busy and earn money. That’s the most important thing you can do so that this error message doesn’t hurt you too much.
