Is Uber Eats busy in the morning? In my experience, Uber Eats usually isn’t busy in the morning. That means if you want to maximize your efficiency and make the most money for your time, it’s best to wait until the lunch or dinner hours, typically after 11 am or so.
In this post, we’ll go into more detail to answer the question, is Uber Eats busy in the morning? We’ll also discuss when it might make sense to do Uber Eats in the morning.
Is Uber Eats Busy In The Morning?
Uber Eats doesn’t have set hours of operation. If a restaurant is open and is accepting orders on Uber Eats, then customers can order delivery with Uber Eats (see my post: What Time Does Uber Eats Open?).
That being said, not all hours are equal when it comes to making money with Uber Eats. In my experience, morning hours typically aren’t very busy. If you work during the morning hours, you’ll probably end up sitting and waiting for orders for longer periods or you’ll be forced to accept bad orders because of how slow it is
For some people though, the morning might be the only free time they have to work. If you want to deliver in the morning, your best strategy is to work in busy downtown areas where office workers may be ordering coffee or breakfast food.
Weekend mornings can also have decent demand, particularly in neighborhoods with a lot of young people. In those neighborhoods, you have a better chance of finding people ordering food in the morning (usually because they wake up early after a night out and want food to eat).
Best Times To Do Uber Eats
As you can probably expect, the best times to do Uber Eats are during lunch and dinner hours when most people are typically ordering food delivery.
I typically work during lunch hours because it works best with my schedule. I also find it to be busier than working during dinner hours. This will likely vary in your city.
In addition to working during prime hours, working on the right days will often make a big difference. Weekends are usually busier than weekdays. That means you can make good money if you work during lunch and dinner hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The least busy days, in my experience, tend to be earlier in the week, usually on Monday and Tuesday. I think it tends to be slower earlier in the week since people tend to treat themselves less at the start of the week.
Final Thoughts
Uber Eats typically isn’t very busy in the morning, at least in my experience. As a result, it’s usually not worth delivering during the morning hours. Instead of doing deliveries in the morning, I tend to work on something else during that time so I’m not wasting my time and can be as efficient as possible.
If your schedule permits it, try to work during the lunch and dinner hours, when demand for food delivery is highest. You’ll make more money, work more efficiently, and avoid sitting around doing nothing.
