I need 100 dollars now. If you find yourself in this position, don’t worry, I have some tips and strategies you can use to get 100 dollars quickly.
But first, here’s what this post isn’t about. I’m not a big fan of taking out personal loans, payday loans, cash advances, or any other types of high-interest, short-term debt. If you’re considering doing that, I urge you to consider other options. Because, $100, while it can be a lot, isn’t an insurmountable amount either.
If you’re saying I need 100 dollars now, I’m telling you that you can do it by taking advantage of what’s around you. Let’s take look at 7 ways you can earn 100 dollars right now.
I Need 100 Dollars Now
If you need 100 dollars now, here are 3 ways you can do just that.
1. Sell Your Stuff On eBay, Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, or Craigslist
Perhaps the fastest way to make $100 is to sell things you’re no longer using. Most of us don’t think about it, but the things we own all have value – even if you don’t think it does. There are a lot of people in the world and even if you don’t think something has value, someone else may see it differently. With the internet and online marketplaces like Facebook Marketplace and eBay, you can get your items out in front of thousands of potential buyers.
Years ago, I sold over $1,000 worth of stuff that people threw away in the trash in an apartment I lived in. Think about that. I was able to find $1,000 worth of stuff that people thought had no value and was worth throwing away.
Take a look at what you have in your house and list things you aren’t using for sale. If you’re selling larger items (like furniture), list it up on Facebook Marketplace. This is the best app to use to get things sold quickly. To price your items, look for similar items and price them accordingly. If you want to get things moving faster, list it for a little less. If it’s a fairly common item (Ikea furniture, for example), it’ll sell quickly.
And if you aren’t getting bites on Facebook Marketplace, consider also listing your items on OfferUp and Craiglist. There are other alternatives you can use too.
Finally, for smaller items, eBay is a great option because it’ll give you the biggest reach. I usually use Facebook Marketplace, but for things I can ship easily, I use eBay.
2. Deliver for DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub
Delivering food with apps like DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub is my favorite way to earn extra income. As long as you don’t have any issues with your DoorDash, Uber Eats, or Grubhub background checks, you should be able to sign up for these apps fairly quickly online.
What makes these food delivery apps even better is that you don’t necessarily need a car to do them. In most cities, you can sign up to do deliveries with a bike. That’s how I’ve always done deliveries – I think bike delivery is the best way to do deliveries because you don’t have to deal with traffic, parking, or gas, plus it’s more fun on a bike. If you’re low on money, using a bike to do your deliveries is a low-cost way to do deliveries.
The strategy is to work during peak hours when you can average $30 or more per hour. If you did a few hours during the lunch rush and a few hours during the dinner rush, you can easily make $100 or more without even a full day of work.
And the great thing about these apps is they do give you the option to cash out your earnings early if you’re in a pinch. I generally don’t recommend it because cashing out your earnings early does come with a small fee, but if you need 100 dollars now, it’s good to know you can take advantage of these early cash-out options.
3. Take Advantage Of Bank Account Bonuses
An under-the-radar way to earn extra money fairly quickly is to take advantage of bank account bonuses. There are a lot of banks that will give you a signup bonus if you open an account using a referral link. I’ve written about a lot of my favorite options in this post: Current Money-Making Bonuses.
There are more complicated bank bonus options, but the easiest ones are where you only need to open an account using a referral link, then fund the account with a certain amount of money.
Below are some bank bonuses that I think are particularly easy and pay out the bonuses quickly:

- Chime Bank $100 Referral Bonus – Step By Step Guide
- Current Bank $50 Referral Bonus – Step by Step Guide
- Nearside Business Checking $50 Referral Bonus + $40 Signup Bonus – Step By Step Guide
Each year, I make about $5,000 to $10,000 between me and my wife taking advantage of bank account bonuses. They take a bit of practice to understand all the nuances with them, but once you understand how they work, it becomes second nature.
For more information on bank account bonuses, I highly recommend reading my post: The Ultimate Guide to Bank Account Bonuses. Read that post thoroughly. It’ll help you a lot if you want to learn how to make extra money from bank account bonuses.
