Is Uber Eats busy on New Year’s Day? In general, you can expect that Uber Eats will be busy on New Year’s Day. Uber Eats doesn’t publicly provide data on its busiest days, but DoorDash notes that New Year’s Day is one of its busiest holidays, so you can expect that Uber Eats would have a similar trend. 

It makes sense that New Year’s Day would be a busy day. For many people, New Year’s Day is a day of recovery after a night of celebrating. Rather than preparing food for yourself, it makes sense that many people would order delivery with apps like Uber Eats. All of these food orders mean an opportunity for you, however.

In this post, we’ll take a closer look at the question of whether Uber Eats is busy on New Year’s Day. We’ll also discuss the best times to do Uber Eats on New Year’s Day and go over a few strategies you can use to make the most money possible.

Is Uber Eats Busy On New Year’s Day? 

As previously stated, New Year’s Day is likely a busy day for Uber Eats. Most people have the day off and are recovering after a night out. Rather than going out or cooking their own food, many people are going to get food delivered directly to them. 

That means for many Uber Eats drivers, Uber Eats will be busy. Since most people have the day off, Uber Eats will likely be busy throughout the day. If you want to maximize your earnings though, you’re going to want to work during prime food ordering hours. Working during the lunch and dinner hours will be your best bet, when you can expect the most people to be placing orders.

The Best Time To Do Uber Eats On New Year’s Day 

New Year’s Day is typically busy throughout the day. When you think about it, people’s schedules on New Year’s Day will be different since a lot of people will have been up late the night before. That means people might eat late lunches or dinners. I often think of New Year’s Day as similar to a busy weekend day. People are home from work, waking up late, are tired, and may treat themselves to food delivery with Uber Eats. 

That said, the best time to do Uber Eats will probably be during the lunch and dinner hours. Almost all restaurants will be open and they’ll likely be busy too, so you can expect deliveries from your typical busy restaurants.

As with any other day, you should still be strategic about how you do Uber Eats. You want to be strategic about the orders you accept and only accept orders that are profitable and that come from reliable restaurants that don’t keep you waiting too long.

If possible, you’ll also want to multi-app to maximize your earnings – that is, sign up for other food delivery apps like DoorDash and Grubhub, then turn all of them on and do deliveries with them. This is one of the most important strategies I recommend. By multi-apping, you’ll keep yourself busy, give yourself the best orders, and maximize your earnings. Whenever I do Uber Eats, I also always turn on DoorDash and Grubhub and accept deliveries from all the apps at the same time.

New Year’s Day is typically a good day for Uber Eats. Most people are going to be tired and at home. Restaurants will be busy and people will be ordering food throughout the day.

As always, be strategic about how you do your deliveries. Stay in busy areas and only accept orders that make sense for you. If you do that, you’ll be able to maximize your earnings and take advantage of a busy day on Uber Eats.
