Is Uber Eats busy on Christmas Day? In general, you can expect that Uber Eats is not busy on Christmas Day. You can understand why. Most people simply aren’t ordering food on Christmas Day, and even if they wanted to order food, most restaurants aren’t open.

In this post, we’ll take a closer look at the question of whether Uber Eats is busy on Christmas Day. We’ll also discuss some of the best times to do Uber Eats on Christmas Day, if that’s a day you’re planning to work.

Is Uber Eats Busy On Christmas Day?

As mentioned at the beginning of this post, you should expect that Uber Eats will be pretty slow on Christmas Day. Indeed, of the major US holidays, Christmas is probably one of the slowest – if not the slowest – days of the year for Uber Eats (it’s either Thanksgiving or Christmas as the two slowest days of the year for Uber Eats).

It’s easy to understand why Uber Eats isn’t busy on Christmas. Most people aren’t ordering food because they’re spending time with family. Instead, they’ll be cooking food at home.

Even for people that don’t celebrate Christmas, you can expect that Uber Eats will be slow because most restaurants aren’t open. While Uber Eats doesn’t have any set opening or closing times, it can only offer delivery if there are restaurants open and accepting orders in the Uber Eats app.

The Best Times To Do Uber Eats On Christmas Day

If you are planning to work on Christmas Day, you’ll need to be strategic about when you work. At the outset, working in the morning or the middle of the day is not a good idea. Most restaurants aren’t going to be open during the day and even if they were, few people will be ordering food in the middle of the day on Christmas.

The best time to work will be in the evening when some restaurants may be open and people are most likely to be placing orders. In particular, Chinese restaurants are the most likely to be open on Christmas Day. It’s a widely known fact that a lot of Chinese restaurants stay open on Christmas Day, and indeed, many Chinese restaurants can get pretty busy in the evening on Christmas.

If you want to make money on Christmas, I recommend staying in areas near Chinese restaurants. You’ll receive the most orders and give yourself the best shot of making some money.

Final Thoughts

Christmas Day generally isn’t going to be busy on Uber Eats. For most people, I recommend taking a break on Christmas Day and instead spending time with your family or friends. It simply isn’t going to be very busy and your time may be better suited with your family or just relaxing.

That doesn’t mean there’s no money to be made on Christmas. If you are planning to work on Christmas Day, I recommend doing so in the evening when more restaurants will be open and you have the best chance of staying busy. Stay near Chinese restaurants if you can, as those are most likely to get orders on Christmas Day. If you follow these tips, you’ll hopefully be able to maximize your time and make the most money possible.
